I’ve been doing makeup for twenty years — not always in a straight line.
I just genuinely love it.
It started in 2003 with a week-long Asian bridal course under Zainab Mirza — a truly pioneering artist who was ahead of her time. That week lit something up. I started doing bridal and occasion makeup, found a love of sharing looks and tips on Instagram, and kept investing in my craft. Over the years that’s meant learning from Scott Barnes (J.Lo’s makeup artist), Letitia Sophia (Maya Jama’s artist), and most significantly, a hands-on training with Danessa Myricks and James Vincent — two of the most technically gifted artists working today.
For the last eight years I’ve also worked part-time in a photography studio — and that’s where I really honed my skills. When you don’t know who’s going to sit in your chair next, you learn fast. Every age, every skin tone, every texture, every challenge. That variety is what I love most about this work.
I still scroll makeup content on TikTok and Instagram. I’m still learning. Because the day you think you know everything is the day the work stops being interesting.
Based in Coventry and available across the West Midlands, I travel throughout the UK and internationally for bridal and occasion bookings. Whoever’s sitting in my chair — I’m ready.
